Practical details to find out more about your stay at the Couvent des Ecrevisses
Breakfast
– If you are staying in a guest room, continental breakfast is served between 8:30am and 10am, in the garden during the summer or in our dining room depending on the weather. You will have the choice of pastries, bread, butter, fromage blanc, fruit juice and fruit as well as homemade cake and jam and for the greedier among you, boiled eggs and savoury products (depending on the season). All our products are chosen from local sources and small producers.
– If you have chosen to stay in “La petite maison”, breakfast is available at an additional charge (€10/person).
Arrivals and departures
Arrivals are between 4:30pm and 8pm (in case of late arrival, please let us know in advance so that we can welcome you in the best conditions). Departures are no later than 11am
For the gite, an inventory is carried out on arrival and departure.
Car, Bike, Motorbikes
A closed bicycle shelter is at your disposal within the grounds of the house.
The small garage can also accommodate your motorbike
You will find several free public car parks in the village, and you can drop off your luggage at the Couvent des Ecrevisses before parking your car. Direction
At the Couvent des Ecrevisses you will find everything you need to pamper your bikes. An easy-to-access closed and secure bike shelter is available. You can repair your bikes there and clean them. Small repair kits and sockets for electric batteries are provided. If you need to do your laundry, we will take care of it for you. Just ask about weather conditions, guides and any advice you might need and for early departures a breakfast at the break of day is possible.
In winter, our table d'hôte
During the winter months, we offer a table d’hôte dinner every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening (from October 1st to March 31st).
We welcome you to our dining room for a home-cooked dinner featuring fresh seasonal produce from our beautiful region! The meal is served at 7.30pm for all guests. It consists of 3 courses (main course, cheese and dessert).
The price of our table d’hôtes is €23 per person. Wine is extra.
Red, rosé or white, our Provence wines are available by the glass (15cl), jug (50cl) or bottle (75cl). At the end of the meal, we offer coffee, tea or herbal tea.
The table d’hôtes is reserved exclusively for our guests staying on site and must be booked in advance before 10am the day before.
In summer, a little aperitif selection at the beginning of the evening?
On request, in summer months, we can prepare you little aperitif boards to enjoy a moment of relaxation in the peaceful garden, before going to dinner. Vegetable spreads, cold meats or cheese… wine, beer or soft drinks… we’ll let you discover local products!
These little aperitif boards are to share for two people. The prices vary according to the choice of drink (Basic price for two people: €20 including 15cl of wine from our region or 25cl of beer or 25cl of soft drink of your choice per person).

Eating out
In summer months, restaurants, cafes and small shops are just a stone’s throw away. You can enjoy visiting this charming village on foot and eat in the pretty squares, in the cool atmosphere of the many wash houses and fountains that make Barjols famous.
Payments
Payments are possible by credit card, check, ANCV holiday vouchers or cash. Invoices and a rental contract (for the gite) will be supplied.
A deposit will be requested at the time of booking for the rental of the gite.
Our rates do not include the visitor’s tax which is to be paid on site at the end of your stay (it is calculated per person and per night).
Four-legged friends
Animals are not accepted in the guest rooms.
They are, however, allowed in the gite under certain conditions (check directly with us when booking).
Living together
The entire house (rooms and gite) is non-smoking; however it is possible to smoke outside where ashtrays are available.
For the comfort and well-being of everyone, we ask you to respect the peace and quiet inside and outside the house after 11:00pm.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the guest rooms.
